Welcome to Our Site! Martignetti Family Charity Bocce Tournament!

Net proceeds from the Sixth Annual Martignetti Family Charity Bocce Tournament exceed $30K!

Proceeds from the SIXTH  Annual Martignetti Family Charity Bocce Tournament were donated to the Michael J. Dunleavy Foundation, in support of children with inoperable brain tumors.

Net proceeds exceeded $30,000 and were raised through players’ fees, raffle prizes, silent auction, closest to the pallino contests, a 50/50 raffle a hot chocolate sales, and sales of beaded necklaces and bracelets.  The single most important source of funds came from families, organizations and corporations willing to donate at the sponsorship levels.

Michael J Dunleavy Toni and Gerry Dunleavy, Michael’s parents, were on hand to enjoy the day’s activities along with their other children.  At the end of the event, they received a ceremonial check from Mr. Ben Martignetti and his granddaughter Maya, who helped organize the event in her friend’s memory.  Maya and Michael were close friends when they attended The Tara Montessori Preschool together. At the age of eight, Michael was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. With only weeks left to live, Michael made his strong desire to help others dealing with illnesses like his obvious to his family.

The Michael J. Dunleavy Foundation was created in Michael’s honor to help children throughout the country suffering with brain tumors as well as other life taking diseases. The foundation also supports the families of those children. Please continue to support this amazing charity by visiting their web site at
